A Girl Gamer is a Girl that plays as much videogames as a Gamer.
While most people believe Girl Gamer = 'not good looking' as being not that good looking this is more a stereotype than anything else, and more or less a value judgement.
Also note that Girl Gamers are not just videogames, but any type, whether they be board, Pen & Paper RPGs, or Collectible Card Games
Girl Gamer's are a rare species, and those that do exist are hunted to extinction by the Guy Gamers.
Here we see the Girl Gamer in one of her natural habitat, an internet cafe playing a rousing round of Team Fortress 2. We see the male of the species sit next to her starting up TF2, clearly trying to gain her attention.
Male Gamer: "So are you seeing anyone?"

A girl gamer is a girl who plays video games. Can easily be confused together with Gamer Girl.
There is a difference between the two besides word placement. Girl gamers are female gamers who play video games out of genuine love and entertainment. They play all kinds of games and different gaming platforms.
Gamer Girls are females who enter the gaming world to express the fact that they are simultaneously females and gamers. Often found in FPS they often voice out that they "OMG LOOOOOOOOOOOVE CALL OF DOOTY SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH IT'S SOOOOOOOOOOOO FUN" and are generally terrible. They can be found in other genres but involve themselves most with the most man played games to garner attention and adoration, identifying themselves as "nerds" to become a special snowflake among the sweaty, hairy man masses.
Because of this, most girl gamers are ridiculed by other gamers for the fact that they are "girls" and "gamers", probably doing it for the "attention".

A Mythical creature that may or may not exist. If you ever meet a "girl gamer" they are most likely a dude pretending to be a female.

A Girl Gamer is a female from the ages of 13 - 25, who claims to be a gamer that plays video games. They will refer to games such as Candy Crush, and constantly label themselves as a girl gamer.
They have also been known to take selfies of themselves licking or inserting part of a console controller into their mouths.
"I'm such a girl gamer. I play Candy Crush and Farmville."
"Look at that girl gamer, licking that Xbox controller."

You must know the difference between gamer girl, and girl gamer.
Gamer girls are the whores with girl in their names and go 4&17 on any match with only 3 games on their list of games played. Whereas a girl gamer is the one that clutches and carries your team every single match, doesn't take bullshit from someone of a lower k/d than them, and will not back out of a 1v1. She's the one with the newest custom scuf controllers and Astros
