Another name for the band CCR, or Creedence Clearwater Revival, prior to 1968. CCR is a staple in the record collection of any rural American grandpa.

Dave: I listened to an album by the Golliwogs the other day.

Bob: The golliwogs? What are you, 70? Creedence Clearwater Revival hasn’t been called that since the late 60s.
