Hookah, also called a waterpipe was first made in Iran out of a coconut, later the arabs spread it.
hookah is a single or multi-stemmed (often glass-based) water pipe device for smoking. A hookah operates by water filtration and indirect heat. It can be used for smoking herbal fruits, there are alot of diffrent flavors.
Today's media sometimes suggests that hookah can be a more health threatening activity than smoking cigarettes, but it´s unclear if that is the case, however there are tobacco free flavors for hookah, but unfortunately the smoke then becomes less thick, and doesnt tast as good.
Alot of people think of drugs when the hear hookah because many people add marijuana.

A water pipe used for "smoking" shisha. Comes in various sizes, and is believed to originate in Turkey. A great party item and for those wishing to chill out.
It's debatable if it's as harmful as cigarettes.
If a health nut/vegetarian who lives off tofu and kale eats peanut butter, it probably won't be that great for them. But for a fat guy who lives off McDonald's and junk food, peanut butter is a better choice. Same basic principal.
90 year old Arabians who have smoked Hookah their whole lives are still just as healthy.

a middle eastern water pipe. smoked with ONLY shisha (flavoured tobacco with molasses) NEVER used for marijuana. some pipes are made especially for hash and opiates, though.
