the belief that all of your actions will have equal reprecussions, affecting you.
"My Karma ran over your Dogma"

The concept (invented originally as more of a self-improving guideline than how it's portrayed now as a supernatural force) that positive actions see good results, and bad results come from negative actions. It is a principle of Buddhism and was created (as all principles were) for purpose of influentially commercializing the author's opinion.
Its creation's need was seen, by the philosopher, to reduce vengeance taken out upon truly deserving people, in the fear that the punisher would otherwise be remorseless. This way, the would-be grudging individual would refrain from his/her actions, with the idea that the negative person would get "what they deserve" in the long run anyhow.
Frank Castle: "I think I'll pass on my desired revenge upon my family's murderers, Karma will affect them eventually."

Karma is a word from the philosophy of many Indian religions (Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism). The basic theory is that the universe runs according to certain laws, all described by one word 'Dharma' (Sanskrit) or 'Dhamma' (Pali). The basic theory is: 'cause and affect'. The laws (Dharma) decide what affect is beget from a given cause. Karma is the 'cause' part of this theory. In other words, your actions - mental, vocal and physical are your Karma (plural).
Please note that in the Buddhist philosophy, Dharma does not 'punish' or 'reward' anyone. The concepts of good and bad don't exist here. For example, gravity is one of the laws of the universe, and if you jumped off a building and killed yourself, we wouldn't say that gravity was punishing you.
Selfless service will help 'improve' my Karma.

Urban definition: It is an overused term by misguided victims to convey their disliking of another persons actions and/or words. It is a means to an end for those who don't let go of the past or stand up for themselves. They take what life deals them, and expect a higher power to control everything and to dish out percieved justice whether it's reasonable or not.
The true meaning and concept derived originally from the Hindu religion, and was carried on in buddhism. In other religions such as christianity, it is referred to as "Getting back what you put out, ten fold". In which one receives back what they put out. People often make the mistake of thinking that karma takes time. The exchange is instantaneous, however the realization that karma has happened, takes a longer time.
Instead of shrugging off being made fun of, the girl posted on her Facebook wall, "Karma is a bitch, wait till it catches up with u hoe!" In turn, she received a flurry of more mockery for showing how much it bothers her. The person made herself out to be a victim and was treated like one. True karma.
