Another one of those "alternative rock" bands that has chosen quantity over quality. In other words, Lifehouse has chosen to "sell out" to the Top 40/pop music audience with recyclable radio-friendly hit singles rather than producing unique music of good quality.
Like many of their "sellout" contemporaries, the band's breakout single came in the early 2000s (in Lifehouse's case, "Hanging by a Moment," released in 2001), from which it started catapulting off the success of that song by releasing more hit singles of similar sound and dubious lyrics.
Lifehouse, which is sometimes labeled "Christian rock," consists of Bryce Soderberg, Rick Woolstenhulme Jr., and lead singer Jason Wade. The band was formed in 1999 near Los Angeles, California, USA.
Lifehouse, like a number of other "post-Grunge" bands dating from the late 1990s to present, mass produces radio-friendly hit singles by recycling old melodies and churning out grade school-lyrics.
