To Live is to Die

An instrumental by Metallica - A tribute to Cliff Burton who died in a tour bus crash.

Although this is a instrumental, there are words spoken near the end of the song (7:35)

It is featured on the Justice for All album; its running time is 9:49

To live is to die is one of the best songs by metallica along with orion and call of ktulu.

When a man lies he murders some part of the world
These are the pale deaths which men miscall their lives
All this I cannot bear to witness any longer
Cannot the kingdom of salvation take me home

live fast, die young

bad girls do it well.”
In the context of this song, M.I.A. speaks of “bad girls” in terms of empowerment, calling women across the globe to stand tall against forces that try to oppress them.

It means suggesting someone to get calm down and be determined.

Adam: hey dude, my girlfriend is complaining that she got busyness too much nowadays. what should I do now?
Danny: don't give up hope buddy. Live slow die whenever.

Live and Let Die

"Live and Let Die" is originally a song written by Paul McCartney. The lyrics refer to a young naive person saying Live and let Live. But after being exposed to more of the world and becoming worn down by it, he says Live and Let Die meaning I'm going to what I want and everyone else can get screwed.

"I am so tired of everyone taking advantage of me. I'm going to Live and Let Die from now on!"

live free or die

The most badass state motto you’ve ever heard of. It’s the official motto for the State of New Hampshire. People in NH live by this motto. They don’t like the Feds, Massholes, or unnecessary laws and taxes. Live free or die!

Originally stated by General John Stark, the “Hero of Bennington”, in a letter. The quote continues by stating that “death is not the greatest of evils”.

“Hey, man, put your seatbelt on!”
“Nah we’re in NH ‘live free or die’. It’s not a law here.”

Live and Let Die

"Live and let live" is a often heard expression of philosophy meaning "I will live, and I let others live too."

This idea was compared to "live and let die" for the spy movie, meaning "I will live, but I will let all others die." This is a less peaceful, more dangerous philosophy, appropriate for a spy movie...'007

When you were young and your heart was an open book
You used to say live and let live
(You know you did, You know you did, You know you did)
But if this ever-changing world in which we live in
Makes you give in and cry

Chorus:
Say live and let die
Live and let die
Live and let die
Live and let die

What does it matter to ya?
When you got a job to do
You gotta do it well
You gotta give the other fellow hell

You used to say live and let live
(You know you did, You know you did, You know you did)
But if this ever-changing world in which we live in
Makes you give in and cry

(Chorus)
