Defined by a person's look. The term referees to a person's face that looks like it has melted due to an incident involving burns that melt the skin or the person's face has developed a deformity also making them looked melted. The melted cheese referees to their face looking llike melted cheese .

What shadow priests do. World of Warcraft FOTM forum posts were always full of casuals asking questions about class re-rolling. One asked if Shadow Priests were any good. The first response, and the two hundred or so responses afterwards confirmed, Shadow Priests melted faces.
This was a time before the game was nerfed, Pandas existed, and the original community left the game.

Referring to music, if somebody tells you a song or artist “melts your face off” or “will melt your face off” this is generally thought of as a good thing. To melt one’s face off is to completely blow them away or overwhelm them with the intensity or energy of the music being played.
