Northie is a music style that means Northern Indie. Northie has it's roots in classic British indie and Brit Pop but is at times more emotional, rootsy and even country inspired. The bands are usually from Sweden, Denmark and Norway and the most influential Northie band to date is Swedish band Eskobar.
"Hey, are you going to that festival on Saturday?"

"Turns out my daughter married a northie over the summer."
