A city in California filled with stupid kids, potheads, and people who play muds.
Oak Park, where no one will hear you if you fall.

1. A small town located in Ventura County, North of Los Angeles. It is very beautiful town, has lots of hills and trees but its a bubble. It's near many other towns but there really is nothing in Oak Park. The population consists of boring middle aged neighbors, rich people, hot girls, stoners, and soccer moms. The high school is filled with gossip and rumors. But it's a very peaceful town, and a great place to live. The most exciting place in Oak park is the donut shop up lindero canyon where everyone chills.

Steve: down.

A city right outside of Chicago. If you hate parking tickets, avoid it like the plague.
Is there any damn street in Oak Park where I can park at without getting a freaking ticket?

An area of Sacramento which has the reputation for being the most dangerous. With violence, drugs, and prostitution rapid in Oak Park, SacPD is on every corner (it seems). It is located just north of South Sacramento. The turning point between Oak Park and South Sac is debatable, but most natives can recognize it. Made up of mostly African-Americans and Latinos, Oak Park has been ignored by the city for quite some time. Only recently have city officials approved money for small redevelopment. Some 50-60 years ago, Sacramento's Oak Park consisted predominately of Caucasians. As crime grew in the central city (downtown), people of ethnic backgrounds began flocking to the less populated areas which in that time was Oak Park. Over the years, African-Americans became the majority due to the growth of the population of African-Americans in Sacramento and the movement of Caucasians to the suburbs, thus we have the current Oak Park. There are many gangs in Oak Park, but most people there refer to themselves as an "O.P.G.", meaning Oak Park gangster. It is a mixed urban/suburban area, but for the most part very busy. Some say it has gotten better since the 90's, while others say it has gotten worse. There is no doubt that Oak Park will be Sacramento's thorn for quite some time.

The urban suburb of Chicago where bilingual montessori toddlers scooter to piano lessons with their nannies, wearing 100% organic cotton clothes and eating locally sourced honey gelato from the farmers market. Basically, the Chicago version of park slope.
That organic juice cafe and waldorf indoor play space is going out of business? move them to Oak Park, they'll do well.

I go to the original House of Pancakes, the original Pete's Red Hot's and I ride the "L". The Huskies are a stellar baseball team, not a breed of dogs developed in Siberia for pulling sleds. I like my pizza in staduim form from DiNiccos. I know way its called "the Peoples Republic of Oak Park". I know the Pavillion is a drinking spot not a music venue downtown. 62,000 PEOPLE TALK JUST LIKE ME. PBR is a drink, not a drug. I drive on Ridgeland Avenue, shop in Oak Brook, and drink POP. I live in the first town outside the westside of Chicago. I am from OAK PARK and damn proud of it

Oak Park began as Sacramento's very first suburb in 1889. James McClatchy park was originally a small amusment park called "Joy land" which included a quite popular Ferris wheel. After the end of WWII people were getting laid off and began to lose their homes to bank foreclosures. Property value went down and Oak Park began to become more and more "ghetto". Oak Park is one of the more dangerous places to be in Sacramento that I can think of. The city owns almost half of the homes in Oak Park yet they dont seem to be doing a whole lot with them.
Oak Park is a place you dont want to drive alone at night.
