originally all ye, all ye, "outs" are free. meaning the one looking for you will call "olly, olly, oxen free" and the one in hiding can come out of hiding and not be tagged as "it" (the next one looking for all the ones hiding)

1) Roughly translated to "Come out come out wherever you are."
2) Term commonly used in the game hide-and-seek. It is used when the seeker gives up and all hiders are allowed a free walk to the base so a new seeker can be chosen.
