2. The phrase is more commonly misused to describe a movie of noticably poor quality.
3. It is rarely used to describe a movie with a low profit margin regardless of budget size, but I have heard it used this way occasionally.
1. "For a b movie, it had some pretty sweet visual effects."
2. "That might have been the worst movie I have ever seen. I wish the reviewer had mentioned it was a b movie"

An actor or actress that seems to appear in every single movie you have ever seen. The actor is usually not the star of the film, but always has a costarring part.
J.K. Simmons and William H. Macy are total movie sluts.

2) Not talented enough for Hollywood, too talented for teaching. Also works in reverse.
A: So, what do you do for a living?
B: I'm a movie critic.
A: I see. So, what do you tell your parents you do for a living?

After watching a movie your first impression of it was that it was mediocre at best, yet after a few hours or days have gone by, the movie keeps popping in and out of you thoughts. So, at the time of watching the movie you had no idea it would have such a profound effect on you and yet now its all you can think about. It crept up on you so to speak.
Mike: Dude, I just saw Adventureland last night, and I didn't think much of it at the time, but now its realistic portrayal of teenage life suddenly seems so much more relevant.
Joey: Dude, you just saw a Sleeper Movie!!

The type of movie with the really dumb person who does absolutely everything in their power to do the wrong thing (e.g. if they hear whispering in the night, they will follow it to their impending doom.)
Movie-Watcher: I'm going to watch some horror movies now to watch dumb people receive their fate.

An amateur film-making production group located in Connecticut. Their movies are monumentally popular on a local scale and have received numerous amateur film-making awards. Many of the royalties for their films have gone to charity (most notably for the epic "Showdown II")

A building housing large screens dedicated to showing new movies starring everyone's favorite actors.
Often used as a daycare for underage kids whose parents fail at being parents and would rather leave their children in a place alone than actually spend time with them; only to get overly irate at the employees when their children go missing and the employees have no idea where their children are.
Let's drop our children off to watch Kung Fu Panda at the movie theater while we go out to the bar for a few drinks!
