An English java based game that has a player base consisting mainly of 13-15 year olds. It is a free MMO, but it costs 5 bucks a month for all the features. Frankly, the game should be paying people to play it. The children who play this game frequently have no lives, friends, and take out the anger and rejectment that they experience in their sad lives by berating people randomly on topics such as music, nationality, and level, and crying to their mommies.
Runescape has considerably bad graphics, and a series of skills that can be raised based on how much time you sit in front of the computer. Ironically, the people who actually leave their chairs and lead otherwise fullfilling lives are considered inferior to the children who spend their time hudled by the computer, scratching their pre-pudescent genitals and eating cheetos.
If you want to play an MMO at least choose one with any quality or class.

RuneScape (unplurable noun), It's an addictive (as so many of you urban scholars have stated, over and over) MMORPG, its set in celtic-medievil (that sort of period) time. Over a million people play on it… REGUARLY! It’s got a chat service on it. Strict rules too…
It's got over 20 skills, including, mining, smith, magic etc. Everything a young teenager/ 10 years old + would want; a fantasy world with little men, who try to better each other over each other in the, 'wilderness' or the popular slang, a the 'wildy'(pronuctuation key: Will-Dee).
People's lives can become consumed by its influence and people can't stop talking about it, but along holiday can help you.
School boy: Hey did you, um... get me that dragon long sword on Runescape last night.
Other school boy: Sorry, I was lost in Varrock.
School boy: thuts easy to gut out of, just kill the trolls and ducks and you’re out.
Other school boy: Are you sure you're not talking about Troll heim?
School boy: Um...
Other School boy: I could whoop you in the wildy.
School boy: I bet you could!
And the monotonous ramblings go on from there.

Probably the worst game ever created on earth. All you do is walk about doing pointless crap while better folk boast and don't even talk to you unless you have some very expensive armour on.
Runescape is crap and I hope you never play it.

RuneScape is a dangerously addictive massive multiplayer online RPG by Jagex, ldt. It is Jagex's most sucessfull game to date, since it's debut in September of 1999.
The game is programmed in Java, although Jagex have developed their own scripting language, 'RuneScript', to aid in the game's development. It is mostly played for free, but can be payed for (for extra places to go and things to do), and has almost 10 million registered users play on it weekly.
Runescape is based on the idea of building skills and gaining experience to rise in ranks and explore the world. Like most MMORPGs, you can kill monsters, do quests and make money.
One of RuneScape's most prodominant sources of criticism are it's graphics. Prior to the release of 'RuneScape 2' in March of 2004, the game's graphics were compairable to works done in paint. Although the game has since then gone through a nice 3d makeover, people still say the graphics ruin the game.

The most fucking addictive game in the world. If you want to ruin your life. Go ahead and play this game.
If you think it would be easy to beat ciggeretes then play runescape for a month its harder i can tell.

A MMORPG that used to be slightly cool, but thanks to some fucktards at Jagex (the Runescape people), the game has been ruined forever. The game is good for a few days, but then it gets super annoying, boring, and hard to level up. But you can't stop.
Steve: "Wanna play Runescape?"
Bob: "Nah, it got too gay. Let's go smoke some pot instead."
Steve: "Good idea, Bob!"
