Sink the ship

When you pee on a floating turd in a toilet bowl in an attempt to sink it.

I went to take a piss and found a log floating there, so I played a game of sink the ship.

fire ship

noun - Person (can be either sex, but more commonly used to describe a woman) who contracts a venereal disease and infects their subsequent sexual partners.

Comes from the historical naval warfare practice of lighting an old ship on fire and letting it drift into your enemy's formation to burn all of his ships.

"I think that chick with the great rack is really into me."

"Don't do it, man. I heard she's a fire ship."

Schrödinger's ship

In television: a ship that is considered canon due to overwhelming use of romance tropes and a love declaration from half the ship, but also left "open to interpretation" by viewers who want to see it as platonic because the writer(s) deliberately left it ambiguous by removing the couple from the story or killing them before the other half can respond to said love declaration and confirm reciprocation. The couple can be interpreted as both "canon by valid assumption due to vast amounts of supporting evidence" and "not-canon by absence of explicit confirmation of reciprocation" depending on viewer preference.

"Watch me suffer along with my OTP in this Schrödinger's ship. As long as I stay in this dumpster, I'm both alive and dead."

Shipping Weasel

Someone who sells on Ebay but always charges waaaaay too much for shipping because that's how they make their profits without having to pay Ebay so much.

I nearly bought a replacement Ipod on Ebay the other day but the shipping weasel wanted $45 to send it.

Jump Ship

Leave an organization, group, company/institution, movement, proposal, or idea. This departure is usually due to inside information, or a gut feeling, concerning the pending failure of said organization, group, company/institution, movement, proposal, or idea.

References the visual of a sinking ship, i.e.- the crew evacuates rather than stays honor bound to the cause of saving the ship at the expense of their lives.

Leaving a close knit business is never an easy choice. If the supervisors have managed their crew, or staff, with equanimity and sound ethical judgement those employees will dedicate themselves to the failing business in hopes of restoring the profitability rather than merely choosing to Jump Ship.

Mother Ship

Coined by former SportsCenter anchor, Dan Patrick, used in place of the proper name of his former organization - ESPN

A formerly-great sports channel that introduced the world to such fantastic sports anchors as Dan Patrick and Keith Olbermann. Now known for overpaid, over-exposed, blowhard anchors such as Chris Berman and Stewart "boo-yah" Scott.

Hey, Dan, is there anyone left at the Mother Ship that likes Chris Berman, or are they all tired of his ridiculous, self-important attitude?
