A word that pisses white people off because now they think they are the most oppressed race when all it really does is describe there skin color. Unlike the word "nigger" this word didn't involve people being lynched,beaten,and hosed.
Black Guy: "Hey cracker". White Guy: "Hey man that's racist. Why can't I call you a nigger and get away with it? Black Guy: Because "nigger" was used to describe black people as ignorant pieces of trash. "Cracker" is just a word to describe white peoples skin color. White Guy: Yeah well...It still makes me feel bad. Black Guy: Hey our race feels bad too when people call us "nigger". I guess we're even now.

suffix added at the end of the prefix of any and all national or ethnic identifications, denoting the individual as to having to think, react, and behave, in the eyes of his/her peers, as assimilar to being "white-washed" or raised to think or perceive themselves white; it could also be said that the individual labeled as "white-washed" would side themselves with caucasians foremost rather than their own ethnic group or surround themselves with caucasian friends to feel part of the caucasian race.

Here's another definition that may have been overlooked: the last part of a single-thong lash whip, such as a bullwhip or stockwhip (as opposed to a multi-thong, such as a Cat-O'-Nine-Tails) is formed of a thin twisted strand of nylon string about 6 inches long, and is called the "cracker" because that's the part of the whip that actually makes the crack effect as it travels through the air at high speed, breaking the sound barrier. Yes, as a working whip artist, I can tell you that the "cracker" or "popper" end of a bullwhip can travel over 700 MPH. The leather strand that attaches the cracker to the main body, or THONG, of the whip, is called the Fall. In the old days, the cracker was often made of hemp or horsehair.
This is also associated with the slave masters, who would use the cracker against a slave's skin as punishment or in an attempt to "motivate" the slave. It should be noted that,among those who work with livestock such as cattle, the whip was NOT used to hit the animal, but ONLY to make noise so as to drive the animal in a certain direction. Anybody hitting an animal was usually fired, and sometimes given the lash treatment themselves.

A person with at least three generations of Floridian ancestry from one or both sides of the family. It originated from the few groups of people that lived in Florida before proper settlements began, when men would herd cows through the miles and miles of palmetto bushes, cracking their whips to keep the herd moving in the right direction.
