One of the two major political parties in the United States. Democrats believe in equal rights, and aren't stupid homophobes that believe gays should not be allowed to marry because of what a book says. They have also set up many programs like medicare, welfare, etc. that help the lower-class citizens, which make up most of the country.
They also believe in women's rights, such as abortion. They also believe that if there is something that needs to be done, it is up to them to do it, and not the almighty God.
They care about the people of their country, and have a heart and help the less fortunate.

Someone who believe that government should help those that need help to help themselves not that everyone should just be for themself. One who believe in a strong central national government. Some one who believe is government of, by and for the people not government of, by and for the elite and priveleged. Also one who believe in Democracy

-A democrat believes in equality and in making available services to those with not enough money to afford them, because a democrat understands that poverty is not due to laziness, but rather to problems affecting a person's life.

-A democrat truly embraces the First Amendment of the Constitution, declaring freedom of religion, freedom of speech,freedom of the press, and the freedom to assemble.
A single mother with breast cancer unable to work to feed her child and to afford adequate treatment for her illness begs on the streets for money or food.

Smart people who...
1- Feel that a fetus, who has no memories, loves none and cares about nothing is not yet truly living.
2- Feel that Marraige is a human privledge, not a heterosexual right.
3- Realise that curing aids and cancer, and restoring organs without needing to find a donor by using previouly aborted fetuses would be a miracle, and are confused as to why people can't see that.
4- Feel that people should care about more then padding their wallets.
5- Feel that a country should not use the advantage of the anger people feel because thousands were killed on 9/11 by AFGHANISTAN to go to war on IRAQ.
6- Believe in the consititution, and how it calls for Seperation of Church and State
7- Are human.
The Democrat shook his head sadly as Bush made a constitutional amendment that allows hate and praises it by banning a human right from a certain group of people.
