that tree is far away

The expression "that tree is far away" is used in situations to express that the last statement made by that speaker is irrelevant and unimportant information that can be ignored, rather than repeated. It's best used as a reply when a person mumbles something, an accompanying individual cannot understand and asks for them to re-say their last line, only to be told "that tree is far away," indicating that what they originally spoke was not worth repeating.

It's derived from a Mitch Hedberg comedy act:
"I mumble a lot on stage, I'm a mumblerer. But sometimes what I mumble is some insignificant shit. Like I'll be walking down the street with my friend, and I will have said something, but he didn't hear me, so he says "What!?" SO I'll say it again, and again he had not heard me, so he'd say, "What!?" And now by this time I am yelling "That tree is very far away!"

Two people are walking to the subway...
Person A: (mumbles) Smells like popcorn in here
Person B: What?
Person A: Nothing
Person B: ???
Person A: That tree is far away

Too Far June

β€œToo Far June” is a very useful phrase, which can be used in a variety of ways.

Whether it be a sexual act or an argument/discussion which has exceeded your limits.

β€œMum can I have the car this weekend and your credit card?”
β€œCar, yes. Credit card no - Too far June”

β€œDo you fancy a threesome this weekend - with my mum or dad?”
β€œGet lost creep! Too far June”

Here are perfect examples of when β€œToo Far June” was a necessary way of leaving situations which surpassed your boundaries ... or perhaps not for the perverts out there.

Far East Movement

Hailing from L.A.'s Korea Town, this Asian hip hop group consisting of Kev Nish, Prohgress and J-Splif found their fourth member, DJ Virman of Powerhouse 106, in 2008.

As of 2010, they are currently signed with Lady Gaga's label, Cherrytree/Interscope Records, and were thus the opening act of her Monster Ball Japan tour. They also performed at the Powerhouse 106 concert in 2009 with the likes of Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Pitbull, etc. Aside from performing with other notable artists (ex. Pharrell Williams & N.E.R.D.), their music has been featured on big screens such as Get Him to the Greek, CSI: Miami, Tokyo Drift, America's Best Dance Crew, etc.

It has been predicted that this all-Asian group will only continue to explosively succeed with their club-banging hits and highly charismatic performances.

β€œFar East Movement is a big, international group. It’s rare to find Artists who know how to rock a crowd with real, hip-hop savvy with songs that have a pop sensibility. And these talented motherf*ckers are Asian!? Welcome to the breath of fresh air and sight for sore eyes the music industry has been waiting for - shift to the worldwide movement, FM.”

So Far Gone

The best mixtape period. This mixtape is a million times more lyrical than some rapper's albums, and a trillion more than pretty much ALL other rappers mixtapes. It has songs for everybody. For the people who want to hear some straight rap check out Lust For life, November 18th, Congratulations, Successful, Uptown,Say What's Real, and ignorant shit. For those who want some R&B crooning check Best I Ever Had, A Night Off, Sooner Than Later, houstatlantavegas, and Brand New. For white people and hippies check out Little Bit & Lets Call it Off (which can grow on black people). The only bad track on there is Bria's Interlude which is just plain weird. And there's also the Outro, but that's just Drake saying "Are We Done" then the rest of it's just a relaxing piano instrumental. This mixtape is good enough to be an album, and better than a lot of albums.

And Promoters tryna get me out to their club/ And say I'm having fun, but I can't imagine how/ Cause I just see my ex-girl, standing with my next girl/standing with the girl that I'm fucking right now/ And shit could get weird, unless they all down/ so i stay clear, we from a small town/ and everyone talks, and everyone listens, but somehow the truth always ends up missing.

-Say What's Real, Track 8

Me: You listen to that So Far Gone mixtape

Ignorant Kid: Naw mane, I listening to Hurricane Chris, he straight gangsta, he's the truth.

Me: The dude who put out A Bay Bay and Halle Berry

Ignorant Kid: Yeah, those are the anthems that reach across the hoods of america, boi, and u just be listening to Drake who is fake as can be.

Me: .................... Wow! (amazed at his ignorance and stupidity)

Took it too far

A term used for when someone takes a joke that was previously funny, "too far," to the point where it's no longer funny and/or awkward.
Can be used as an alternative for "killed it"

1. You: Getting hit in the knees turns you gay guys!

Quinn : So you must've been pulverized by a hammer! Lolz

You: ...Took it too far.

2. You: Yo Neil Patrick Harris is gay!!

Quinn: With his mom?

You: Took it too far.
