blue gender

An anime most elitists hate (they are too busy wacking off to Fooly Cooly to even bother with this show). Blue Gender is an anime version of the movie Starship Troopers...sorta...

In the future, an insidious insect like race of creatures spawn over all continents of the world. Being pushed back, humanity constructs a space station called 2nd Earth to help battle the creatures they dubbed, "the blue." Pocketed in certain parts of world, civilans were frozen and put to sleep before the Blue spread across the land. One such "sleeper" is awakened, Yuji Kaido. He now desperately tries to understand this new planet which is now overrun by bloodthristy monsters. A Sleeper Recovery Unit sent by Second Earth is ordered to bring Yuji back with them, but face tough resistence from the blue. Marlene Angel is accomplished member of the team, and befriends Yugi in more ways then one. Together, they slowly form a bond that intensifys the more Yuji learns about himself, and the more his hatred for the Blue grows.

James was dumbfounded and more than a little bit confused when he discovered that the party he was attending was a gender blender; every dude and every chick in the place looked like Rosie O'donnell.

Gender Disphoria

Gender dysphoria is associated with high levels of stigmatization, discrimination and victimization, contributing to negative self-image and increased rates of other mental disorders. Transgender individuals are at higher risk of victimization and hate crimes than the general public. Adolescents and adults with gender dysphoria are at increased risk for suicide.

In adolescents and adults, preoccupation with cross-gender issues can interfere with daily activities and cause problems in relationships or in functioning at school or work. Children with gender dysphoria may experience teasing and harassment at school or pressure to dress more like their assigned gender. Children with gender dysphoria are at higher risk of emotional and behavioral problems, including anxiety and depression.

Transgender individuals may also face challenges in accessing appropriate health care and insurance coverage of related services.

gender expression

Gender expression is exactly what is sounds like it is: the way you express your gender identity. Are you a woman? Wonderful! Does that automatically mean you love dresses and adore cat eyeliner? Nope. There are many ways to express one's gender identity whether heteronormative or gender-non-conforming! Historically, gender expression has been commodified and culturalized, dividing the population into either lipstick-lovin-ladies or motorcycle-muscle-men.

But wait--you pick a gender identity, does that mean your gender expression must conform to that identity at all times??? Hell no! Your gender expression can manifest any way you want it to! It's all up to the individual. Today: femme. Tomorrow: genderfuck.

Remember that gender identity includes, but is not limited to, identities such as 'woman' and 'man,' what would be called cisgender. Genderqueer identities are numerous: there is genderfuck and femme and gender fluid and gender neutral and agender and transgender and many more. For more examples, just go to your facebook page and check out the updates gender identification options (not that this list is entirely inclusive, but it'll provide you with a decent basis!)

Jaquan: Hey, Betty looks like a dude today. WTF?
Bailey: Yo, that's just her gender expression. Maybe she identifies as gender-non-comforming.

Jaquan: Oh, tight. Maybe tomorrow I'll wear a skirt.
Bailey: Hell yeah! Express yoself!
