Um...A GODDAMN FASHION STATEMENT?? No one at my school, or in my whole city (Lindsay, Ontario) had heard of these erm: "Special Meanings"...but we ALL know now. Wasn't this something that they wanted LESS of us teens to know?? Because in my opinion, placing the big argument of banning them on the front page of every newspaper in the world (where we all learned the game "Snap" from) sure didn't help at keeping it undercover. Thats how everyone here knows. So...blame it on yourself, people. Oh, and if u you think girls are really going through with these "favours", then I am really dissapointed that parents think us girls are that STUPID!
That was my example...THIS IS AN INSULT TO US GIRLS ALL YOU TEACHERS PARENTS AND PRINCIPALS OUT THERE!!!

I'm 13 and everyone at my school wears them. We know the meanings, but we just wear them. Guys don't snap them off girls and ask for sexual favors.. they're no more than a fashion statement. I read about parents freaking out and schools banning them.. and I'm not sure I totally get it. What you do with your free time is up to you. If you want to have sex when you break a bracelet.. that's cool. In my opinion, parents and educators are just making up excuses to get kids in trouble so they can feel 'in charge'. Whatever.. I like 'em and anyone who has a problem with it can suck it.
They're a fad and nothing else. Parents are overreacting and need to trust their kids.

Oh my good lord. I am a Sophomore in SoCal and all the people i know have vaguely heard of some sexual meanings realated to these things, but the people that wear them (including me) wear them solely for fashion. Mostly Punk Rock Kids wear them at my school, like i said its a fashion thing. I was shocked to learn that my only 2 bracelets (one black and one green) mean that i want to get laid and have a makeout session w/a stranger. For Christs sake people, bracelets dont determine a kids sex life, i dont honestly think that the banning or allowing of these bracelets will affect either way teen pregnancy or the transmission of STD's or other important things like that....God grownups can be so stupid sometimes......
You just broke one of my 2 bracelets?!? ya, ok, your a cute little hottie, but i'll only do that if you promise to get me a new bracelet......(you should have just asked, then we wouldnt have to go through this bracelet breaking bullshit)

I wear all different colors of these jelly bracelets... The only reason they have sexual meanings is because some deperate loser guy made it up, who couldn't get anything any other way so made up sexual meanings for bracelets that came back into style.
The only person who I acually mess around with, with jelly bracelets is my boyfriend. 2 years XoXo
no example sorry...:(
