Pull A Palin

When asked a question, to reply with something completely unrelated to what was just asked. Can be used when one does not understand the question, or simply when one would rather answer a different question.

Person 1: "Hey dude, do you know where the bathroom is here?"
Person 2: "John McCain is just a regular maverick."
Person 1: "Fuck man, don't pull a palin!
Person 2: "Doggonit, there you go again, god bless you.
Person 1: "Idiot."

Sara Palin

The scariest fucking idea anyone has ever come up with.

GOP 1: "How can we get this armageddon thing moving?"

GOP 2: "We need a president that is dumber than Bush, but has more conviction to the bible; someone who believes that the dinosaurs walked the earth 4,000 years ago, and who has super human eyesight as to see Russia from Alaska."

GOP 1: "Bingo, I got it! Sara Palin!"

GOP 2: "Brilliant!"

palin-drome

a paragraph that makes as much sense forwards as backwards

SARAH PALIN: "That's why I say I, like every American I'm speaking with, we're ill about this position that we have been put in. Where it is the taxpayers looking to bail out. But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up our economy. Um, helping, oh, it's got to be about job creation, too. Shoring up our economy, and getting it back on the right track. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions, and tax relief for Americans, and trade -- we have got to see trade as opportunity, not as, uh, competitive, um, scary thing, but one in five jobs created in the trade sector today. We've got to look at that as more opportunity. All of those things under the umbrella of job creation,"
ME: "Hey, you know you just said a perfect palin-drome?"

Pull a Palin

To "get back to someone" when you do not know the answer to the question someone has asked you.

person 1 "Global warming is a hoax"
person 2 "Do you have any proof?"
person 1 "I'm gonna pull a palin and get back to you on that one"

Palin-American

An individual who distrusts intellectual discourse, logical reasoning in the classical definition, or academically peer-reviewed scientific studies and theories, in favor of hyperbolic one-liners and empirical evidence. Often dismissive of anybody with an accredited higher education degree, and extremely hostile to those who exhibit PhD credentials. Generally applies to people of a politically conservative (e.g. US Tea Party, US Republican Party), due to the popularization of former Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin. Technically applicable to those of a more progressive bent, but a different slur is usually more appropriate. (see stupid-ass liberal)

John is a Palin-American through and through. I can understand if he's skeptical of global warming and evolution, but he doesn't seem to understand that his protest signs with misspelled racial slurs only makes him look like a tool.

Pull a Palin

The act of distracting others from a weak position by showcasing a nice set of breasts.

"You mean our positions on the war, the economy, foreign affairs and medical research didn't work? Call them liberals and pull a Palin!"
