Roof Rattling

The practice of throwing a handful of stones onto an unsuspecting victims roof causing a cacophonous rattle. A common past-time of many young kiwis with nothing better to do.

Similar to drive by, but called rattle by, it is associated with the loud music coming from a car that is so loud it rattles your windows. Most likely noticeable around 2am when it wakes you up.
