Taken from the act of torching an automobile to cover up the evidence or dead bodies inside.

Here is a better definition then the grosser ones.

Generally is a piece of wood with something burnable on it to produce light in a area for a time. In video games they never burn out.

Is also basically a giant heavy duty flashlight to again, light up a area.

It can also be another name for a flamethrower.

Guy1: "great, we lost power, do you have the torch?"
Guu2: "yeah, it's right here."
