Burger Night

The annual celebration of burgers on an evening anytime during the last week of May or first week of June.
Friends and family get together to celebrate such a versatile and enjoyable food and reflect on their thoughts about burgers whilst partying.
A smorgasbord of burger fillings are laid out for guests to create their own burger.
Prior to guests eating, everyone as a group pledges their life to appreciating burgers for what they are and also celebrating Burger Night annually (they will either celebrate in future years with the same people or perhaps host their own Burger Night, introducing new people to Burger Night)
The first known Burger night was celebrated in Brisbane, AUSTRALIA in 2000 and has now been celebrated in many countries around the world.

I'm looking forward to Burger Night this year. I always have pineapple on mine and my sauce goes between my meat and tomato.

Dharma-Burger

Any example (dubious or not) of Buddhist thought being infused into advertising or marketing language (and therefore pop/mass-culture). This can occur for sincere reasons, or for reasons based purely on co-optation. Phrase first uttered by Wisdom Publications editor Josh Bartok; defined and employed by Rod Meade Sperry, editor of a Buddhist pop- and subculture website.

Examples of a Dharma-Burger include: "Zen and the Art of Quilting" (book);
Ronald McDonald statues found in Thailand that portray Ronald with his hands held in the Buddhist gesture of gratitude; Buddhist deities found on album covers; the use of "karma" in all manner of advertising copy.

Briggsy Burger

In the mid-nineties London's gay art community threw what has become a legendary barbecue. A group of 6 arty queens masturbated over a quarter-pounder which they intended to enter for a prestigious art prize. Leading gay artist Briggsy watched the spectacle before mincing into the centre of the group and hungrily devouring the well-seasoned burger. Subsequently any burger liberally coated with jizz has been termed a Briggsy Burger.

Its a shame those queers didn't get to enter their Spunk Burger for the Briggsy Prize.

Not really. Briggsy spewed the whole lot and won the prize with his pile of vomit. "Briggsy Burger" was snapped up by Saatchi for 8 million quid.
