You fucking idiots! Nerds aren't the people you see on the honor roll lists every 9 weeks, and they aren't the people you see marching in the band either, they're the people you see fucking playing Pokemon cards at lunch while talking about low-key social topics like console wars, anime, and politics. Nerds are not fucking smart! When they are at home, they aren't studying at all! They're usually on their computers constantly downloading anime and/or jacking off to hentai pictures that I could probably draw. Some nerds watch so much anime that they wish they were japanese, that is called a wapanese. Nerds are also on message boards constantly bitching about the console wars. They are usually on shithole sites like GameFAQS and Gamespot using "pwned" instead of the real word "owned". They are usually extremely skinny or extremely fat but are defently ugly. These turds also never take showers, so they smell like shit. It is always said that nerds are the bosses of everyone later in life, thats bullshit. Nerds usually either live in their mom's basement for the rest of their lives, or they end up working at Wal Mart for the rest of their lives and spend their money on more anime DVDs and video games, and then go home and STILL bitch about console wars on their computers. At school, some people will feel bad for nerds, but they don't deserve pity, they choose to be this way. Nerds will also hate on rednecks calling them uneducated, but nerds are too stupid to realize that even the redneck kids get better grades than the nerds, and outside school rednecks are actually hard workers who raise animals, own huge fields of fruits and veggies, and fish, and hunt. Thats much better than what the loser nerds do at home. Geeks and dorks are no different from nerds, in fact, they are synonyms. I could go on all day but I'll stop here, and the only people that will vote this down are nerds themselves. Fuck nerds!

A highly intelligent person, whose "nerdiness" is not necessarily restricted to one certain area of interest, but someone who has many varied interests and a vast amount of knowledge for all of them. Nerds are constantly learning and love to acquire new knowledge. Also, nerds do not announce to other people that they are nerds. This is something wanna-be nerds do, so if a person mentions a show they fanatically watch or a video game they play 24/7 and then gush "I'm such a nerd!", that person is actually a poser, does not deserve the esteemed title of Nerd, and most likely should be punched in the face. Just because being a real nerd is now cool, does not mean that you are.

It has been proposed by someone using this dictionary that a nerd is simply a lesser geek; for example, one who is very brainy, but without social skills (which a geek, apparently, would possess). I submit for contemplation the definitions of both nerd and geek as I have always understood them--a nerd is a very brainy, generally socially inept person who leans toward bookish pursuits, such as the reading and analysis of, well, 18th century books, while a geek is much the same, but with an affinity for technology/computers. Either may enjoy anime, comic books, the Internet, and/or the company of other nerds/geeks (among many other interesting and engaging pastimes).
Amanda is such a nerd. She's always reading her English literature textbook for fun.
Julie is such a geek. She's always fiddling with her computer.

A nerd, in simple definition, is a person with poor social skills who is very intelligent and creative. Although the word "Nerd" has only been recently used, the species has been around for centuries.
They are persecuted because of their "social deficiency" and intelligence. However, true nerds do not care about this, since they have their own sense of what is cool.
They tend to be loners and egotistical people who embed themselves in things such as computer skills, art, music, books, plays etc to make up for their lack of status.
Although a nerd may have a few non-nerd associates, the nerd's only true friends will be other nerds; and additionally, nerds have only been known to mate with their own species.
The natural enemy of the nerd is the goth
A true Nerd does not need friends, for he always his his mind.

A smart, highly intellect but disavantaged in Athletics and social activities due to too much time spending in libraries and less time playing sports and/or talking to other people.
They however, are smart or uncool (depends on how you see it) enough to not be motivated by fashion, which IMHO is just a waste of money.
why buy a quicksilver wallet for 10$ when you can buy 1 with the same quality for 5?
