Atheist

A logical, common-sense based belief of how the world works. The understanding that the idea of a "god" is very irrational, possibly comical. An Atheist does not just accept a story called the Bible as being non-fiction. A realization that the Bible is in fact a fiction book written by dead guys.

Atheist

A person who does not believe in God, or religion for that matter. Unfortunately, many atheists ridicule and insult other religions, even though they could simply accept other people's beliefs and respect them. For example, many people on the internet are atheists and bash other religions mercilessly, feeling that being an atheist is intelligent and makes them better than people who believe in religion. These atheists can often be found on internet forums, insulting other people.

(on an internet forum)

Person: "Yea, I thought Adam Sandler was pretty funny in taht movie."

Angry Atheist: "You actually think Adam Sandler is funny? Ha! You stupid conformist... You must be a Christian... Oh, and by the way, learn how to spell 'that', dumbass."

Atheist

a) Someone who does NOT worship Satan, as they do not believe in anything involving Heaven/Hell/God etc.
b) Someone lacking belief in a deity (the literal definition.)
c) Someone who resents pushy Christians (not to hate on Christians, but most other religions leave us alone.) that shove religion down their throats and threaten that they'll go to eternal Hell if they don't bow down to religion.

Extreme Atheists: Are very argumentative about their views and will attack anyone who dares mention their faith.
Passive Atheists: Accept that humans are a diverse species and that everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Christian: Hey, man, want to go to my church Sunday?
Extreme Atheist: Dude, eff no, that's a bunch of crap and so are you for believing it. >.<

Christian: Hey, man, want to go to my church Sunday?
Passive Atheist: No, I don't believe in God, but thanks anyway. :)

Atheist

Atheism is a doctrine that states that nothing exists but natural phenomena (matter), that thought is a property or function of matter, and that death irreversibly and totally terminates individual organic units. This definition means that there are no forces, phenomena, or entities which exist outside of or apart from physical nature, or which transcend nature, or are β€œsuper” natural, nor can there be. Humankind is on its own.

The following definition of Atheism was given to the Supreme Court of the United States in the case of Murray v. Curlett, 374 U.S. 203, 83 S. Ct. 1560, 10 L.Ed.2d (MD, 1963), to remove reverential Bible reading and oral unison recitation of the Lord's Prayer in the public schools.

β€œYour petitioners are Atheists and they define their beliefs as follows. An Atheist loves his fellow man instead of god. An Atheist believes that heaven is something for which we should work now – here on earth for all men together to enjoy.

An Atheist believes that he can get no help through prayer but that he must find in himself the inner conviction, and strength to meet life, to grapple with it, to subdue it and enjoy it.

An Atheist believes that only in a knowledge of himself and a knowledge of his fellow man can he find the understanding that will help to a life of fulfillment.

He seeks to know himself and his fellow man rather than to know a god. An Atheist believes that a hospital should be built instead of a church. An Atheist believes that a deed must be done instead of a prayer said. An Atheist strives for involvement in life and not escape into death. He wants disease conquered, poverty vanquished, war eliminated. He wants man to understand and love man.

He wants an ethical way of life. He believes that we cannot rely on a god or channel action into prayer nor hope for an end of troubles in a hereafter.

He believes that we are our brother's keepers; and are keepers of our own lives; that we are responsible persons and the job is here and the time is now.”

Atheists are often associated with those who follow Theistic Satanism, but this is not correct.

Atheist

Atheism, in its broadest sense, is a lack of belief in a deity or deities. The opposite of theism, this broad definition encompasses both people who assert that there are no gods and those who make no claim about whether gods exist or not. Narrower definitions of atheism typically include only those who assert the nonexistence of gods, excluding non-believing agnostics and other non-theists. it is the burden of the believer to support his or her belief, not the other way around.

A strong believer in reality. What is there is there. And what isn't must be some good drugs or mental illness. Atheists believe that Scientific method should be used for deduction of fact. a set of false positives and true natural thought should prove that talking to air or dirt or trees on fire do not make you a prophet.

Be happy with life on this plane of exsitence. hope in more, or gifts rained down from above is greed.

Jerry Falwell: you unclean godless sinners will all go to hell!
Atheist: Ahem, No, Jerry. Your belief in hell, however strong does not make it real. If God is so great, why are all of his Christian Church leaders touching young boys? Oh Jerry, you are a Church leader, are you touching little boys?

Your belief in ghosts & goblins does not make it so. Ever notice how the words Church and crutch sound so similar? To the average exchange student they do not hear a difference when hearing English.
