An old slang term for a younger punk who was just starting to hang out the scene and go to live shows. Usually used for good natured teasing teasing.
"Look at the little bunny punks, they're so cute!"
Typically a kid in middle school who just listened to the Ramones for the first time. Starts wearing leather jackets, checkered slip on Vans, sunglasses that he gets in trouble for trying to wear in class. Can also lead into adulthood if the starter punk music never evolves into deeper punk genres (i.e. post punk, pop punk, folk punk, crust punk, etc.)
"Last month his favorite band was Blink 182 but ever since he heard Blitzkrieg Bop he's gone totally starter punk."
