Players who play like this, typically spend well over 200$ on a game to feed their gacha addiction. Reasons for buying a low ranked account are that it takes 100 hours of unranked game time in order to access ranked and herald 1 star accounts are highly sought after for dunking on noobs.
Reasons for buying a high ranked account are multi-faceted. Some people think they aren't at the rank they are meant to be for whatever reason (some believe in the forced 50-50 myth). This gives the player a chance to play with higher ranked games for supposedly better quality games. This often results in a quick succession of losses, ruining most games they are in because they aren't at their appropriate skill bracket. Don't buy accounts, people. Please.
