The slang usage of the term dates back to the 1960s. Douche bag, or douche refers to bad qualities, specifically one's swagger, ignorance, and/or cruel intentions.
Michael Moor's such a douche bag because he places himself on a pedestal in his movies.

In general - these jerks are always right all the time and they always find a way to justify even (and espeially) the nastiest behavior possible.

Any individual who makes other people feel absolutely terrible for fun. For example, someone who asks another person's mark just to tell them their own mark, which will be far higher.
"Hey _____, what did you get on that test? 54%? Cool, I got a 93% which is o.k. I guess." - A real douche bag.

Straight, fashion concious males who over stress about their hair styles and mannerisms particularly around females. Wairing Hollister, Abercrombie, Aeropastale, or American Eagle are all acts of beinga douche bag. Also, rolling up ones sleeves, popping ones collar, wairng sunglasses at night or in the dark, or flipping ones hair are all acts of being a douche bag.
We saw the kid come out of Hollister with two full bags of polos. What a douche bag.
The kid was flipping his hair and not making eye contact while talking to my girlfriend in a douche bag manner.

Male: Ed Hardy (or Abercombie) t-shirt wearing, studed rhinestone pocket jeans, white sunglases at night clubs, unibrow, hair bushing out of their shirts, armpit smelling STD guy with bad breath who chases you around and thinks they are a stud!
Female:Loud, trying not to have a unibrow, obnoxious skanky fat whore with half her fat ass hanging out creating drama where it is unneeded while pretending to be a good girl for mom and dad while she spreads her STDs all over town. AKA Kardashian.
Both Male and Female are full of shit (themselves), hence douch bag. Both Male and Female need to douch themselves. Both Male and Female love to reproduce other little potential douch bags that will follow in thier douch bag steps.
One could say, "Hey Kardashian, stop Kardashianing yourself around.
However, a better sentence frame would be, "Hey douch bag, stop Douch'n yourself around."

A person who is a complete ass to everyone because no one likes that person. And no one likes that douche bag becuase he is a complete ass to them all the time. He also might be gay.
