Stare down

Similar to a glare or a stink eye.

Sometimes intended to make someone feel uncomfortable.

It's a rude action.

I couldn't find my hair tie so I went to the athletic training room to get some pre-wrap. Unfortunately, Ms. Bergin was teaching a class there. As I walked in, she stopped talking and stared me down as she didn't like me walking in. To confirm this, she repeated her words as if I was a huge disruption and slammed the door shut behind me.

She performed a stare down to show her displeasure of a person walking through her class.

Librarian: Here, read this book, it's about rabbits.
Boy: Sounds gay, but whatever....
(One week later)
Boy: Holy shit, that book is f**king amazing!

A word most old people from the south or somewhere else use to say over there or far away mostly used by my grandma and grandpa

Grandpa:Sure did

Officer Down

A call made by police to indicate an officer is severely injured or deceased. Usually referring to other officers, but can be used in the first person. This is followed by the location of the officer in question.

"Shots fired! Officer Down! I'm at 73rd and Brooklyn, get EMS and backup now!"

"Dispatch Received. All units, Code 3, we have an officer down, all units respond to the intersection of 73rd and Brooklyn, ASAP."
