objective morality

The disbelief that right and wrong are pure and consistent concepts given to us by God or Yahweh which can't be challenged, redefined or argued against. In other words, our world is one with no moral grays. Everybody is either a wholesome follower, or a sinful deviant.

"God gave us objective morality, meaning I don't need to take responsibility for my misogyny and homophobic tendencies."

"Well golly gee willickers, thank goodness we don't have to think about the consequences for our actions!"

"Yup. I knew there had to be a reason society had come to disincentive theft, murder and rape."

"Actually Bobby, rape's a go according to the Bible."

"On the contrary Mary-Ann, rape is portrayed negatively in our media which retroactively changes the morals of our Bible to conform with modern sensibilities."

"That doesn't sound very objective, Bobby."

"Shut the fuck up Mary."
