Not satisfied with the single Asian fraternity on the campus aka bitches of University of California, Los Angeles, Lambda Phi Epsilon was founded on February 25, 1981, by principal founder Mr. Craig Ishigo and a group of eighteen other dedicated men. Noticing that Asian fraternities and sororities at the UC campuses were recognized as only service organization due to their memberships focus on Asians and to the exclusion of other ethnic groups, the goal of the founders was to transcend this limitation.

On December 1, 1975, history was made β history which would have a positive impact on the Latino community and our nation; history which would forever change the collegiate Greek system, more specifically, the entity known as a fraternity. On December 1, 1975, Lambda Theta Phi was founded on the campus of Kean College in Union, New Jersey.
In 1975, there were no Latino fraternities in existence in the United States. Lambdaβs founders, as men of vision, realized there was a need to unite the Latino students, develop their leadership skills, impart upon them the value of an education, and instill in them a commitment to their community and culture. This newest addition to the Greek system would be the first in the nation, by identity and by name: Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Incorporated. Academic Excellence β Brotherhood β Leadership β Latino Unity -Service.
Lambda Theta Phi was born to promote the spirit of brotherhood, to protect the rights of Latino students in his/her quest for an education, to promote the rich Latino culture, and to maximize leadership potentials to provide guidance to our community.

A co-ed service fraternity founded on the principles of leadership, friendship, and service. Alpha Phi Omega is an organization that has come to be respected on any college campus lucky enough to have one. APO is mostly known for their service, however they are also known for their general kindness towards others. Alpha Phi Omega is full of wonderful people who want nothing more than to make the world a better place. There are 11 regions and 102 sections within Alpha Phi Omega.
It was founded at Lafayette College by Frank Reed Horton in 1925 to create a new "standard of manhood." Horton took the scout oath and the scout law from the Boy Scouts of America. Originally, women were not allowed to be involved in APO, however, in 1976, women were inducted into it and Alpha Phi Omega became co-ed.
Guy: Hey! Are you going to pledge for Alpha Phi Omega?!
Girl: I don't know... what is it?
Guy: It's this awesome coed service fraternity! You get to do a lot of service, hang out with great people, get leadership opportunities, and it looks great on a resume!
Girl: Okay! I'd love to! How do I sign up?!

A fraternity founded, in 1901, on the principles of Virtue, Dilligence, and Brotherly Love. Has recruited more members in the past 20 years than any other college fraternity, and is currently the largest national fraternity with over 14,000 members. Though all fraternities vary from chapter to chapter, SigEp is generally known for relaxed, competent members that enjoy the occasional (or sometimes more than occasional) game of beruit.
"Hey, let's chill at the SigEp house tonight. There's always something to do there."
"Yeah, I've heard the guys there are pretty cool. Let's go."
