hippy

A person that was involved in antiwar protest of the 60's in the US. Now used as a excuse to get high all day and complain about things. Hippies as of 2003 will take anything from the east as it is cool and procliam they are that. You might find a hippy that looks muslum but when you look deep they are very shallow about the religion as the just want to get high.

Little hippy John likes to come to Canada to do cartwheels infront of the coffee shop to impress the 14 year old girls. Than Johnny the hippie gets high and then gets high again and then claims he is a spiritual person,

hippy

someone who lacks social skills and spends all their time trying to be "different" from everyone else. They usually waste their life away doing drugs and thinking their so much smarter than all their peers. Also they most often drive piece of shit cars, dont get invited to all the cool parties and spend most Friday nights at home watching star trek.

All the hippies that smoke their entire life away and say that everyone else "don't have a clue"

hippie

1. One who thinks outside the box. Most often a deep thinker. Considers more than one possibility or angle on many thoughts. Often but not always one who tries many of the less intense drugs such as weed, and shooms.
2. One who does drugs rather often, steals your shit, and many times wears bright colors. They are also laid back and will consider most actions that don't bother others justifiable.

1. Dude, Sarah is such a hippie; shes always thinking about life.

2. Those freakin' hippies took like 2 of my jackets last night!

hippie

1) Someone who doesn't take life seriously, preferring to go on about peace and love, take lots of drugs and doing lots of 'free love'. Your stereotypical hippie has long hair, smells bad, speaks in a slurred way and is never even slightly mentally focused.

2) The name townies like to give to anyone around their age who doesn't act like them, especially in musical taste. These include punks, goths, grungers, etc. and anyone even remotely well-dressed or intelligent.

3) Anyone who doesn't agree with a Republican, or attempts to enjoy life.

Hippie

A person whom smokes the wild Sheba, Can wait all week for a CCR concert and/or Woodstock, doesn't bathe alot and mooches off the most. Hippies are cool but the modern day Hippie is different from the 60-80's hippie because there are rarely anymore hippies of the 60-80's anymore whom still do what they do now a days a person who smokes weed and listens to music in now a rapper or poser or just a straight up gangster. The modern day hippie is working its best but will hopefully move on to the greater thins. Modern hippies, metal heads, head bangers, EMO's, Goth's, and the many more have all evolved from the hippie we used to know and love. Hippies have long since been extinct but there is still hope in the next generation of hippies. ROCK N' ROLL !!!!

John Fogerty, All of CCR, and Al Gore Basically people whom well who am I kidding you'll know if your a hippie or if someone else is.

Hippie

Hippie, derived from 1950s slang equivalent to "down" or "Cool"; seen variously as hep (as in Hepcat) and later 'hip'via the white beatnik culture of the late 1950s. People who followed the original alterantive lifestyle tied to the youth movements of the 1960s radicals were called "Yippies'; this later morphed, by association with the still active beatniks, into "hippie." After the 1970s hippies were seen by many as sellouts, because they embraced the very money-centered culture that they professed to abhor, becoming "Yuppies" (Young Urban Professionals); many modern 'hippies' are no more than mall rats who wear the designer versions of what the hippies of the 1960s made themselves; i.e., tie-dies, sandals, etc; so there is no true note of alternativism in the modern hippie "movement". Drug use is a prevalent theme in both eras, as is disrespect for authority and established institutions.

"Hey, Louie, y'know what's orange and looks good on a hippie?"

"No Danny, what?"

"Fire."
