A popular strain of marijuana (Hindu Kush x Purple Afghani). 100% Indica.
This pure indica medicinal strain comes from California. In that state's medical community she is considered an "elite clone", meaning that she is only available as a cutting. Not to worry if you are a medical merijuana patient in California - this strain can be found at various despensaries throughout the state. Purple Kush is especially popular at the SR-71 dispensary in "Oaksterdam", the section of downtown Oakland that tolerates medical marijuana providers. Patients there praise this Purple Kush's deep body stone as a treatment for pain and depression.
This lady forms a short squat bush with very dense intermodes and huge fan leaves, staying in the 2-3 foot height range indoors. With topping or pinching she will be at least as wide as she is tall. Purple Kush's foliage exhibits a classic indica growth pattern: a sturdy bush with dark green hues and hints of purple toward ripeness.

Grape Kush belongs to the Blueberry family bred by DJ Short. The Blueberry strains mix indica with haze for a combination of happy stone and easy, adaptable cultivation. Specifically, the indica genes give the plants a shorter growing season than the slow-growing and sometimes finicky hazes. Blueberries tend toward a blue tint in the leaves and a berry flavor in the smoke. Within the Blueberry family, Grape Kush is the peaceful child. This strain's high is a physically soothing, but still hazey enough to keep a conversation flowing.
Grape Kush was developed for indoor growing, but can flourish outdoors as well - even as far north as Holland - especially if given organic nutrients. Indoors, she prefers soil but adapts well to hydroponic systems, too. In general, DJ Short recommends light feeding with nitrogen and organic nutrients; however, Grape Kush loves all of the good worm castings and bat guano she can get.
Grape Kush branches bushy, especially when topped. Like her Blueberry relatives, she is dark green to purple with lavender/red hues. She has thicker and more variegated leaves than the other Blueberries. The larger calyxes on her bulkier, more "rounded" buds show a distinctive fox-tailing structure late in her flowering cycle. Her variegated leaves sometimes curl or "krinkle"; this is an expression of anomalous recessd traits from her diverse ancestors, not a mutation that indicates an unhealthy plant.
Grape Kush finishes in approximately 8-9 weeks indoors, or from late September to mid-late October outdoors. She is medium in height and heavy in yield - 25 to 50 grams per square foot at 50 watts per square foot, or up to 1 gram per watt under optimal conditions.
Growing plants have a strong odor, both sweet and musky.The harvest from this strain is connoisseur-grad ebud with a sweetish smoke. The high comes on very slowly, building up for as much as an hour, and then settles in for the night - a bit more like a pot brownie stone than the usual smoker's rush. traces of haze in the stone add inspiration to the conversation, and some radiant dreams or fantasies at bedtime. It's a relaxing and social effect, like red wine, and a good antidote to social anxiety.

A KUSH GODDESS is a female who smokes more marijuana than a stoner or pothead. These women are usually beautiful and know more about the colorful frosty leaves than most men. All Kush Goddesses know how to roll their own blunt and joint. They have toked with bongs, pipes, vaporizers, glass blunts, steamrollers, and just about any other weed related piece. They stay highed up constantly and usually have their bud by the ounce. There are only a few true Kush Goddesses, most female smokers couldn't keep up with one even if they tried.

A Cannabis Sativa dominant cultivar found in California, especially "The Valley" (San Fernando Valley).
This breed of marijuana has suffered long debates as of its origins and genetic heritage but anyone who has ever worked with this plant knows that the prized phenotypes are the Sativa phenos which are tall and lanky. These are where the real "fuel" and "chem" smelling flowers come from. Any grower or experienced enthusiast knows this to be true, despite any debates about heritage or origin about the plant. The plant is a mixed breed but is mostly a Sativa.
There are several cuts flowing around the area, such as 'SFV,' 'Ghost,' 'Tahoe,' 'Larry,' 'HA' (Hell's Angels), 'Fire,' 'Abusive,' and '818' but it is extremely rare to find an original OG Kush that hasn't been reworked. Many growers identify the 'Tahoe' and 'Ghost' as being two of some of the most close to the original OG Kush that made it's way to California early in the 1990's.
Anyone who says this plant is a kush definitely has not seen it growing and does not know much about weed because it has high THC and lower Cannabidiol than true Indicas, of which the Kush family come from.
A side note:
Anyone that knows anything about Kush plants know that these short, robust dark green and even purple colored plants originate from the mountain range stretching between central Afghanistan and northern Pakistan where taller, lighter Sativa dominant plants do not grow well.
