business logic

Meaningless programming related buzzword, used primarily in ".net shops". May be used interchangeably with "tiny gnomes".

In the model-view-controller design pattern, you implement your business logic on the controller objects.

Logic pro

Logic Pro, is a software package used in the electronic music industry. This software package is used more commonly known as a DAW or Digital Audio Workstation. Other kinds of DAWs are Ableton Live, FL Studio and Pro Tools by AVID. The software package can only run on official copies of Mac OSX, as the authors of the software are Apple themselves. The current up-to-date version at this time is 10.4, hence why people will call it Logic Pro X, as Apple use a system of Roman numerals to make stuff sound cooler. Like the iPhone X is actually called the iPhone 10. The software costs Β£199.99 or $200.

"Yoooo that track is banging my dude, what did you use to make it?"
"I used Logic pro. Can't stand Ableton and Fruity loops"

Asian Logic

Someone who makes decisions (typically financial ones) that contradict common sense and is unable to prioritize . This is typically found in Asian culture (i.e driving an expensive car but living in a dump)

Eugene spends $2000 on a holiday that he didn't want to go on but wont spend $350 on a lawn mower he needs regularly.
Eugene buys a big glass mirror costing hundreds of dollars and risks damaging it by carrying it home and not paying $50 for delivery. Eugene has Asian logic.

Women's Logic

Once a girl likes a guy, they will use women's logic. Basically, you suspect the guy will automatically know, make the first move, preferably a giant romantic gesture that could only happen by miracle.

OMG! Jack is SO hot.

Don't rely on your women's logic. It won't work.

client logic

A breeding ground/ holding pen for social miscreants and people with assorted severe personality dissorders. It seems quite nice at first, but the longer you stay the worse it gets.

Similar to prison or some form of entrapment and torture scenario involving slow sedation and confined spaces.

chameleon logic

Fundamentally flawed logic used by poorly educated, narcissistic, usually paranoid persons to garner undo influence or support from like-minded individuals. In a similar notion of a true chameleon animal, they blend their logic to conceal their lack of understanding, insecurities, inabilities to obscure their true indentity or intent.

I love how talk show hosts and politicians use chameleon logic to try to win a debate.

Hipster Logic

Typically with the signature air of self-congratulation, Hipster Logic is the seemingly logical but contextually naΓ―ve viewpoint often used by young hipsters.
- "Buy now and save money!"
- "Giving is saving."
- "Free phone with 2 year contract."
- "1,000 bonus points!"

Unto themselves, hipsters might use hipster logic is justify an action that seems en vogue, popular, or feel-good.

Onto them, hipster logic is used in marketing to manipulate naΓ―ve consumers to feel an artificial sense of accomplishment or urgency.

I first coined this word in November 2013.

Hipster Logic often leads to ironic, if not amusing, situations.

- Occupy Wall Street movement participants using iPhones and Android phones to coordinate efforts via the networks provided by AT&T and Verizon. None of which would be possible without the large-scale investments that would only be possible through massive capital markets and financial trades.
- Driving Toyota Prius cars (where all profits go overseas) to an anti-Wal-Mart rally against low wages and lack of higher paying jobs.
- Enjoying window plants in their urban renovation condo with new hardwood floors and cabinets to reduce their carbon footprint.
- While bicycling, ignoring street lights and stop signs with the belief bicycles don't constitute traffic or cause accidents.
