Referring to someone who is popular or famous in order to let the other person know that you yourself are popular and actually have friends. The event being described is usually a lie, or the story was exaggerated. Most of the time name dropping is used by people who think they are cool, but are not.
Can become very hazardous to one's mental and sometimes physical health.

a really annoying thing that happens a whole lot. For some reason people have the habit for writing definitions for names.
Ex. Bob is the most caring, athletic, cool guy you will ever know. he is also (insert other random bullshit).
really? I didn't know Bob was all of those things. In fact I know a guy named Bob and he's a DICK.
Now you see why name definitions can backfire and have no use?
Name definitions are never going to end. oh well.

A person who is full joy, very caring, and is always their for any of there friends. They bounce through life and always enjoy a good joke. They put off "cool vibes" without trying, and has a great fashion sense ( which adds to the coolness) with funky socks being the epicenter of their fashion. They have great taste in music and are musically talented themselves. If you meet one, you will also really want to give them a hug, because they are adorable! If you ever meet one, you are lucky because they are rare, and remember to charish every moment you have with them.

We all know that the publisher of the article, Steve, is just some guy who has an IRL enemy called Bob, and he's hoping to get his payback in a really weird, pathetic way. Giving Steve ground isn't helping anyone else out.
2. An outlet for egotistical people obsessing over themselves with a positive description, like this:

As if people using this site for nothing but bashing people they don't like wasn't bad enough, giving platforms to people who just want to kiss their own ass all the time is possibly worse, because by voting for those definitions, you're basically telling them they're right, that they really are "above" everyone else.
These are ruining the site. Even if most of them never get approved, having to filter through a bunch of them before finding a legitimate article can be really annoying. And they're not even the kind of thing people will keep saying; no one will, after reading that article, start saying "That guy's such a Bob, ugh." They may have been a little funny at first, but when they start to eat up the entire website, the humor starts to diminish. And this trend has LONG since outlived its appeal.
