West Oak Side started after a shooting took place when one of their members named Oakley “Oakdale” Smith got shot and killed by a rival faction in Philadelphia . They rebranded the gang to West Oak Side to show love and support for their fallen member. They are mostly known for engaging in drug trafficking, firearm trafficking, and various legal businesses. Their most infamous leader being Jaevon “JV” Sinclair has been on the run for over a decade, becoming one of the most wanted males in the United states. There’s rumors that JV has gone back to Los Angeles, continuing to run his enterprise and trying to avoid going to prison.
