An EDM music festival in Miami where fratboys, sorority girls, and oily clubbers go to dress up as ravers for once a year. Some people even call this edm larping. For the UMF attendee it isn't about PLUR like it is in California or Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), it's about hopping on whatever bandwagon the majority of people are into. If you are not larping like the rest of them they will not accept you into their community of fake ravers. At rave festivals like EDC it's about PLUR (PEACE LOVE UNITY RESPECT), and people accept you for who you are and don't give a fuck about stupid superficial shit. Alot of UMF edm larpers will even go as far as to say they hate PLUR, and that they only go for the music (this is another bandwagon because every edm larper says it). It really makes you realize how much better EDC is. All the real ravers know it too.

Rooted through Nesian: A shortened term used to describe the collected race of Pacific Islanders. Nesian Culture music is the collective musical expression of the many Pacific islands. Grouped by their different positions in the Pacific Oceans (MicroNESIAN, PolyNESIAN, MelaNESIAN) they bring to light the beauty of the pacific in this prideful genre of music. The songs describe the love and respect they have for each other as similar races, and ultimately gather all Pacific Islanders under one culture instead of being sepreated by their islands.
This music is meant to take those who may or may not be decendants of these cultures to a place of bliss. to feel calm even in a dancing beat. this music can make u feel like getting up and moving but still steady. like a palm tree in the breeze.

80's music consisted mostly of whiny guitars, semi-human(as in: never too masculine) voices and better lyrics in general than most/all of the hip-hop/pop songs that you will find on the radio today. Chances are, if the music sounds like a cross between innocently thundering guitars and lukewarm/strong drugs, it's 80's music. If there's a music video involving a singer with a spectacular vocal range and hair combed halfway up to the ceiling dancing on a stage with horrid patterns on his skin-tight outfit, it's 80's music. If you're too young understand the political references in the lyrics or just old enough to remember what they were about, it's 80's music. If a man wearing an 'I love the 80's!' t-shirt suddenly looks up at the supermarket and names a Duran Duran song to the nearest person, it's 80's music. If you go to amazon or e-bay and type '80's music' into the search field, it's 80's music. No, really, it's true.
