MTV Music Awards

A fucking joke made by MTV. Basically, all of the "artists" you hear on the Top 40 radio station, and anyone who appears on MTV and B.E.T. automatically win an MTV music award. Talent and originality are not required to win one.

If you're an independent artist, or a jazz/rock/orchestra musician, forget it.

Hey, look. Some bubblegum-pop star whose music was played on Total Request Live for five months straight was nominated with 29 MTV Music Awards.

music teacher butt

possibly the most elusive of all butt-shapes, music teacher butt can be described as unusually long and increasingly droopy toward the south end of the caboose. nearing maturity, MTB begins to resemble a second bosom. music teacher butt affects 1 in 3 music teachers in the United States and, interestingly enough, also occurs in 1 out of 30 female band members. to spot MTB in the wild is rare, and should therefore be deemed a special moment in one's life.

1) damn, she got that MTB! was that Mrs Denny?

2) i just got back from the obstetrician and she diagnosed me with music teacher butt. dammit!

Electronic Body Music

EBM are NOT electro.
Electric Body Music springs from Industrial with the main differance that itΒ΄s more dance-oriented. Not in the way like the common Euro-Dance and such, but in havin' a more defined bassline, very repetive beats, and heavy processing.
The name comes from an interview with, if I remember right, Richard 23 of the Belgian group Front 242, trying to describe there music.
EBM are part of an umbrella-genre called Synth, including New Romantic (Depeche Mode, Human League), Electro (Kraftwerk, Erasure), Industrial (Skinny Puppy, Das Ich, Neubauten), Noisemusic (Brighter Death Now, Martzbow), Italo Disco (Laserdance, Koto) and New Age (Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Enya) to name a few.

Among the biggest names in the EBM scene are Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, VNV Nation (Victory Not Vengance), Covenant, :Wumpscut: and some other I donΒ΄t bother mentioning right now ;-)

Musical Blue Balls

When playing an instrument such as a guitar, and your band plays a song where you will have a killer solo, but the band stops playing right before your solo. You are left helpless with musical blue balls.

Jack's garage band was playing One by Metallica and stopped playing the song right before Jack's big guitar solo; Jack had anticipated his solo so much that when he did not get to play it, he got musical blue balls, or MBB.

Trap (music genre)

Trap music is a music genre that originated in the early 2000s from Southern hip hop and crunk in the Southern United States. It is typified by its lyrical content and trademark sound, which incorporates 808 sub-bass kick drums, double-time, triple-time and other faster time division hi-hats, layered synthesizers, and "cinematic" strings.
(Wikipedia)

ex. of Trap (music genre)
Person 1: Hey man how come these beats don't have any lyrics?? They are too good to not have lyrics!
Person 2: That's the purpose of Trap. It is more focused around beat production for the sake of good sound instead of being covered by someone's voice.
Person 1: I don't get it.
Person 2: Go with me to a trap festival and you'll understand.
