AC/DC: One of the greatest rock bands in the world. Members include Angus young,Brian Jonson, Cliff Williams, Phill Rudd, And Malcom Young. Sometimes mistaken to be bisexual and satanistic. Their name came from the electrical term alternating current / direct current and represents their high energy rock 'n' roll.

Okay, I'm geting really sick of this. AC-DC never has, and never will, stand for "Anti-Christ Devil's Child: You people who think so are stupid and should just stop breathing. AC-DC stands for Alternating Current / Direct Current, referring to electrical power. The stupid people's definition comes from a prick who was on trial for murder and said that this was the reason he did it.
Ask any electrition.

one of the best friggin bands ever. founded in 1974 by Malcom and Angus Young. the bands first album was High Voltage. the band had a ton of lineup changes when they were first forming, but they got a stable one in 1975. it was Malcolm Young (rhythym guitar), Angus Young (lead guitarist), Phil Rudd (drums), Bon Scott (vocals), and Mark Evans (bass). Mark was fired in 1977, and replaced with Cliff Williams. Bon died from alcohol asphyxiation in early 1980. he was replaced by Brian Johnson later that year. Phil was fired in '83, after getting in a fist-fight with Malcolm. he was replaced by Simon Wright, who was then replaced by Chris Slade in 1989. Phil rejoined in '94. their name means "Alternate Current/Direct Current", and it was seen on the back of some appliance (some say a sewing machine, some say a vaccuum). it does not mean "Anti-Christ, Devil Child" they are NOT an anti-Christ band. Angus played guitar in a church as a kid, actually.

1. An awesome band who's fan-base in recent years has become composed mainly of poser/skaters who buy the "AC/DC Back In Black" t-shirts from Walmart and think they're cool, but really have never heard an AC/DC song.
2. Alternating Current/Direct Current, a type of electricity which is used in home apliances and MIG welders.

2. My Miller MIG welder uses an AC/DC electrical set-up.

A kid that wears nothing but DC labeled clothes, hats, shoes, ect. Originally DC shoes were meant for skaters but 9/10 guys you see wearing a DC hat these days don't even own a skateboard.

and whoever says that ac/dc stands for anti christ/devil child is retarded because Angus and Malcolm's sister suggested the name, it was on her sewing machine, she also suggested that angus should wear his school uniform on stage
