ok so pokemon originated in japan, and was brought to the us. the first games, wich featured the first 150 pokemon plus mew,were the best in my opinion. than the anime series came and kinda killed it, becaus the show was honestly 4 little kids. but pokemon is still strong. i can remember, in 3rd grade your coolness was cordinated with what cards you have. and i had tons and i still do. and in middle school everyone predended to hate it cept me i had stickers and drawings all over my stuff.... and it was this big thing when me or my buddies found a girl that still liked it man i remember this one girl, i new her for like 3 years and didnt know she liked it til one day i was in social studies and noticed she was useing cindaqual as a book mark. and dont lie and say u dont like it, cause its monsters u use to beat up other monsters with and get to put in red balls. also dont lie, because i know u got up early just to watch the show. i know i did. by the end of the first week i could recite the whole poke-rap.trivia;the first second gen. pokemon to appear in the series is ho-oh, in the first episode. also, i bet u stay up to midnite just to beat whatever new game u got. i no i do. the market has been killed by spin-offs and fakes, but honestly even i got a copy of the mad issu in wich they decide how to kill pikachu. the card game is great, the video game are great, but the show kinda sucks. i know that imm way to old to play it

mom:wow wat a ripp off one figure for $25 bucks
kid: i want it

kid: know i have sooo many pokemon figures and cards i don't know wat to do with them i can't believe i wasted money i was brain washed

Ok here's my personal opinion of pokemon. Well when i fisrt got pokemon fire red when i was like 5, i freaked. i was pretty excited about it, and i still have the same copy and i play it to this very day. I loved the first couple of games like sapphire and ruby and emerald and fire red and leafgrean. i even got pokemon gold, but something was wrong with the saving and whenever i turned it off after saving it the save file wasn't there(that's what I get after buying it from the flea market -_-) so i was kinda angry bout that but when soulsilver and heartgold came out it was all good cuz they had the original games with a few tweaks to make everything look better and i totally digged that. but with like white and black? i mean seriously WTF???? nobody wants new pokemon!!! Oh and i hate how it got pegged as it was for "kiddies". i mean seriously when I turned 12 and went to school in the 6th grade, everbody was like pokemon is gay and i'm like What happened? i mean diamond and pearl was ok, but if you're gonna make a game exactly like them in like 2 years, except with BETTER pokemon, what was the point of that. this may seem like a nerd rant, but from what i've heard on facebook, youtube, and twitter about 55% of the teenagers still play pokemon. i mean the shows suck major balls so does everything else EXCEPT for the old games. thats the end.
