farmer's bet

A bet where no wager is made. Originated within the Ukrainian farming community in northern Alberta who were well known for their penny-pinching ways.

Michael: I think it's going to rain.
Ken: Want to make a farmer's bet on that?
Michael: Sure, no loss to me!

bet no cap

Is a combination of "Bet" and "No cap".

"Bet" is used In response to a statement.
Slang for Fa sho, which is slang for For sure; which means Sure or Okay.

"No Cap" means that their not lying or capping like they did something.
Sometimes ppl write it like thisπŸ™…πŸ½ β™€οΈπŸ§’or 🚫🧒 different ways

So together 'Bet no cap' is agreeing to a statement that, that person is telling the truth or not lying. Basically saying yes i agree with that statement.

"hey, that food was good",

"bet no cap"

Boer Bet

A bet between two or more people where the winner does not get any monetary reward, but the bragging rights to hold over the heads of the other participants until the end of days. The origin of this term comes from the Afrikaans speaking farmers from South Africa that prides being right more than being compensated financially for winning a bet.
