Basically, if you post an opinion on there, you WILL get bombarded by a bunch of 5 year olds trying to bring down your opinion and then present their opinion as fact. Its fun to post a harmless question and watch everyone else just fight to the death because I thought Mario 3d World was still a fun game.

A word used to define the most popular male user on a forum. The term is not only used by female users but also by all the other inferior beta males on the site who have to show respect to their one true king. First popularized was the word by the infamous user Manoko on the allkpop forums.
Someone: "Who is the forum oppa here?"
Exotic: "It’s Manoko oppa~ uwu! The hart, sole and ASS of allkpop.com/forums. They say the poppin of his dimples is what caused the big bang and his smile is what provides the warmth and sunshine to sustain all life on Earth."
(Noun): Someone who saves the forum by contributing to it. Whether it's changing something to benefit the community, or controlling the crowd.
What Joe did to the forum recently made him a forum saver.
A PErsonal Development Program that many people say is a cult but in reality they work their ass off to get you to come to their expensive ass seminars or courses as they call it and before doing the seminar you wonder what the fuck youre doing and afterward you feel like you cleared your head and made friends

A place on the interwebs where people get to talk about how shitty Civics are and race other people based on who can name more mods for their car than the other person.
Car forum discussion example: Civics are pieces of shit, and my Mustang can beat yours because I have a pulley and a tune on it.
An enthusiast forum about shipping related affairs, mainly focused on great lakes operations.
Unfortunately it is also run by shadowy mods, who do not operate with any transparency. They don't explain their actions. Posts and topics vanish for nothing. Criticism is dismissed without further regard. Nepotism apparently runs rampant as certain people (ie their chums) are given a free pass to be rude assholes to others, while any attempt by others to engage with those individuals just disappears. It's not even clear who the mods are, or how many of them exist.
Then there's the userbase. Which isn't as horrible as some forums. But there is a minority present, who make the forums an unfriendly environment. They can be mean spirited, rude and condescending to others - especially people new to the hobby - who they have also been seen to openly loathe. Worst of all, instead of politely correcting and offering their unique insights, they will instead assassinate any posts they don't deem worthy, by getting the complicit mods to delete them, even though there was no reason they should've been deleted at all. The worst of these people, seem to be people from the industry, or who were in the industry and now have nothing better to do with their lives.
All in all. Things are unlikely to change here. Save yourself the aggravation and just go to one of the Facebook groups instead.
