ground hoggin' it

When you have to take a shit so bad, and so large that it starts occasionally peeking out of your butthole. This usually occurs when your diet is mostly composed of meat. Not to be confused with prairie doggin' it, ground hoggin' it is much larger than prairie doggin'.

I had to shit so bad the other day that I was ground hoggin' it.

snake in the ground

Similar to a snake in the grass, a snake in the ground is a far snakier snake. They are much harder to spot than their grass-dwelling counterparts and will strike when you least expect it.

"Hey man, keep an eye on that tall grass, could be a snake hidin' there."
"Hell, I ain't worried about some boring grass snake. There could be a snake in the ground right under our goddamn feet!"

"Damn man, you know that Becky my girl's been hanging with?"
"Yeah, Becky, she that older lady right?"
"Shit, it turns out she done Mrs. Doubtfired my ass. Revealed herself to be a man and made off with my girl."
"What a real snake in the ground."

"What the fuck is wrong with you?"

See the Ground Cats subreddit for more information.

neutral ground

The median, to residents of New Orleans.

The flood waters were so high on St. Charles Ave., I had to park on the neutral ground.

My friend's riding on a float in Rex, float 15, neutral ground side.

ground zero

The epicenter of a disaster or explosion.

Currently, the term is most commonly used in reference to the location of the World Trade Center after the September 11th attacks.

It took much less time than expected to clear the debris from ground zero.
