A homophobic slur that comes from the English word for a cigarette (fag) because there was a time when homosexuals where rolled up in a carpet and burnt just like a cigarette. It is very offensive and has often been shouted at a homosexual before being beaten up or brutally murdered.
Historically used as a slur towards homosexuals, the term has changed over the course of the early 21st century to describe me who view themselves as strong, tough, and the coolest person to walk the Earth when in reality they are the exact opposite.

Person 1: Hey! Steve is telling everyone he beat the shit out of Carl!

A faggot is a guy who drinks whiskey, smoke weed, listens to rap, and thinks he’s hard as shit, but he’s in reality pussywhipped.
Usually says «I’mma hang with ma girl» or «I’m so tired of my girlfriend» but doesn’t have the balls to break up.
