White people are the only ethnicity it is okay to criticize in today's world. It seems that everyday, white people are being blamed for the shortcomings of all other races. Everywhere you look, whether it's Buzzfeed, the Huffington Post, or even The Urban Dictionary, you'll notice an implicit bias against white people. It has become "morally acceptable" to blame the ills of Western culture (or any culture for that matter) solely on those with white skin. How this is not considered racist is completely mind-boggling. White people are never given credit for their contributions to mankind in any way, shape, or form. In today's world, it is completely acceptable to call a white person racist for not buying into the concept of "white guilt." In fact, it is now completely normal for white people to be called racist simply for being white.

A civil servant or lowly paid employee of a major corporation. Designed to make simple tasks such as paying bills or applying for services more difficult than they actually are.
These people only wear white socks, as they are too poor or uneducated to be able to present themselves properly.
Applying for any government service, and having to fill out 5 forms when 1 will do. Then a month later when you enquire as to how you application is going, you have to re-apply as they inform you that you filed the wrong forms. You have been white socked!

News Flash: The Cubs and White Sox are not in the same league, so it is actually okay to cheer for both of them and hope they both do well. They're both great baseball teams and people who bitch about how one sucks and the other is awesome look like morons.
Instead let's talk about how much the Yanks and the Cards suck ass, because they do.
The White Sox are an old and excellent baseball team, and if the zealots would just cool it a bit the sane sports fans of Chicago would greatly appreciate. Thanks.

In novels, this is typically used to describe a character who was once good, and then turned "dark" or immoral after some kind of trauma. The "white lotus" version refers to the person before they changed, when they were still innocent.
I don't really like this character later on in the book, but the white lotus version is so adorable!

A San Francisco Pachuco gang devoted to hanging out on street corners, picking teeth with shivs, rolling bums, mugging decent people, and fighting. They rob, steal, and kill.
There were a couple of White Shoes on the corner, and William shot them both as we drove by.
