A drinking holiday term for Christopher Columbus Day. Sambuca, an Italian liquor is the drink of choice.
It's similar in concept to calling thanksgiving "turkey day".

When you wake up and instantly feel big. During the day you can feel in the way and destructive and things often get in your way. The opposite can be a small day when you feel small and pathetic.
Brian woke up and hit his head on the door. Later on while eating his breakfast he noticed the spoon for his breakfast felt small, either the spoon was having small day of he was having a BIG DAY.
