1 - A dress (usually a wedding dress or prom dress) that resembles a cake. These dresses are usually puffy or some random girly colour. They look stupid and make you look fat.
2 - A dress that is actually made of cakes. (Trust my, this has happened!)

One who wants to have their cake and eat it too. This person does not necessarily have to be rich to fall into this category. It is reserved for whiney people that can't make up their minds or understand why "life has to be so hard".
Cake eater: "Why am I so unhappy? I just don't know what I want, why does life have to be so hard?"
Realistic person: "Grow the fuck up and take some responsibility for your life you fucking cake eater!"

The cake is a lie.
The embodiment of cake is not in the cake itself. Cake is delicious, but not satisfying without the experience that usually accompanies cake. When you have cake, it is not the cake that creates the most magnificent of experiences, but it is the emotions attached to it. Celebration with friends, the social interaction usually surrounding a joyous occasion. Without this interaction between the cake and the world, the cake would just be any other pastry. However, cake can be enjoyed by some but not by others in any social interaction. Each perspective is unique to each individual.

A cake alone can be enjoyed, but not in the sense that cake should be.

Ancient word of saying you have a skill or something of importance that should not be said do to it being illegal, stupid, or you may have nothing at all, because the cake is a lie. So therefore saying you have cakes, means the above.
