Owned by Abercrombie and Fitch, Holister is neither prep nor expensive. Yes some of the items are pricey but no more than Hot Topic. Now shoping there is kinda hard because of dim lit lighting, but that appels to some so I will let it go. If you wish to know more go into the store and make your OWN judgemnent. Who knows you might buy something.

A party usually consisting of metrosexuals sporting Hollisterco that typically the shirt is a size too small, flip flops, cargo khaki or plaid shorts, & puka or cowry shell necklaces, tanorexic blondes who look like a picture negative where everyone is standing around or playing beer pong, but completely sober typically they are playing Hinder, Buckcherry, Nickelback, & some other modern hip-hop such as Soulja Boy or Rhinana. They are usually found making fun of anyone from high school who isn't present at the party or isn't in their "clique" at all. They usually go to University's, but sometimes community colleges. The next day you usually hear them bragging about how "trashed" they got the night before.

The headache you receive after going into or passing by Hollister due to the strong scent of the perfume they spritz all over the store.

A semi-expensive west coast version of A&F store where people of all backgrounds go shopping. and they DO hire people of different backgrounds. im not a prep and dont act like one, but i shop there because i adore the clothes. its pure opinion, you dont have to to be a dumb blonde to shop there.
I got ripped jeans a cute cami at Hollister.

A store owned by Abercrombie and fitch which tailors to the "surfer" image. They sell their shirts tight, their shorts big, and all of it is just a bit less expensive than Abercrombie and Fitch. They have some nice stuff- their jeans and shorts and shirt are durable, and most everything I own from their is very comfortable to wear. They do cater to guys and glas who like to keep good care of themselves, but I don't know a single girl or guy who shops at Hollister and is gay. The Gay ones that I know all shop at Urban outfitters, Gap and Banana Republic.
Guy: I like this polo. A&F has one like it for 20 bucks more.
Girl: I like this skirt. Who cares if someone doesn't? I'm not the one dressing them.

The exceptionally strong smell of perfume that emanates from such stores as Hollister and Abercrombie&Fitch.
"Dude, I had to hold my breath when I walked through the Hollister Haze at the mall today!"

A derogatory term for an individual who deeply prefers to sport apparel sold under the Hollister brand. Typically materialistic, self-absorbed and socially unconscious. Said individuals are also known for vigorously defending critics regarding many of the controversial issues surrounding the brand, including accusations that the brand's parent company, Abercrombie and Fitch Co. sells sex to its teenage consumer base. Are also known for vehemently fighting claims that Hollister feeds off of a West Coast feel in order to garner customers from less desirable regions like the Midwest. The original demographic for this type of person was characterized by upper-middle class Caucasian teenage girls, but has spread to cover men and individuals of other age groups and ethnic backgrounds.
