Not to be confused with a shake'n'bake tan.

When you wear your sunglasses too much in a sunny place. Your face becomes tan apart from where your sunglasses were; including a white strip where your nose meets your forehead.
The major problem with a sunglass tan is that once you have one you are inclined hide from the general public that you do by wearing your sunglasses. This only causes the sunglass tan to worsen.
*Can be avoided by wearing sun screen*
Person 1: Hey, why are you wearing your sunglasses constantly?
Person 2: Well, I got a sunglass tan. I don't want any one to see so I'm wearing my sunglasses to hide it.
Person 1: That will only cause your tan to worsen, you do know that.
Person 2: Yup.

Pale white skin. Named because many goths have this skin tone. Anyone can have a "goth tan", not just goths.

The name for the tan lines left by wearing your sandals or flip flops too much in the summer time or in a warm climate.
Though commonly mistaken as an abbreviation for a "hillbilly tan", it is actually named for famed New Orleans mixologist and radio host, Bill DeTurk, who is known to commonly and proudly sport these tan lines.
Dude, check out my billy tan. These are the most amazing lines I've ever seen.
Whatever, don't act like you've gotten sun, you can't even show off your billy tan yet.

Spray tanning, often called airbrush tanning or sunless tanning, is a process by which a DHA based solution is sprayed on to the skin via an automated system or HVLP tanning equipment. When the spray tanning solution is sprayed onto the skin, a safe, natural, sunless tan develops and lasts for between one and two weeks. Sunless tanning solutions contain dihydroxyacetone (DHA), an ingredient approved by the FDA, which reacts with the natural amino acids in the top layer of your skin, producing the best looking sunless bronze tan. The pigments resulting from a spray tan do not provide UV protection. The DHA spray tanning solution is applied while the client stands in either an automated booth, or in a pop up spray tan tent. With most solutions the deepest tan color is reached within about 12 hours, so the color will continue to darken after the initial application. Spray tanning solutions also typically have a bronzer that provides an immediate tan effect. When using an airbrush or spray gun, this instant color helps ensure even coverage. In this age of immediate gratification, solutions that include instant bronzing are popular with most clients. Most of this added bronzer will come off in the first shower/bath after application. The color that remains is produced by the DHA reacting with the skin, aka, your spray tan.

A slang term for the pale parts of a person's face left by sunglasses, goggles or facemasks when the person has been sunburned or tanned by being out in the direct sun for long periods of time. So-called from the person's facial resemblance to the black 'mask' pattern of a raccoon.
After climbing to the top of the mesa, Jan took off his glasses to clean them and was puzzled by Jane and Louis' howls of laughter. Although his face was burnt a deep brown by their day-long trek in the desert, his pallid eye-sockets underneath revealed a nasty raccoon tan.
