Dancing On The Rails

Doing something extremely stupid or reckless usually for the amusement of others or for the thrill of doing something daring. Often occurs as a result of peer pressure.

The expression originates from the urban myth(?) of someone dancing on the railroad tracks and paying for the foolish mistake with their life.

Ride rail

Riding rail means to be at the very front of a concert/show, especially larger shows where the stage is separated by a ledge/rail.

We're gonna ride rail tonight at the Bassnectar concert.

I know her, we rode rail together last week at Chainsmokers.

A web development technology that has more hype than popularity. It's a popular first choice of develoepr that don't intend to actually be around when the product is finished or put in to production. It allows for really flashy demos that impress bosses while being backed with nothing.

This job is about to go away so I think I'm going to use Ruby on Rails for the last month or two before I leave.
