1. People being unaware of their surroundings, and having no sense of urgency whatever. In effect, not respecting others by moving the hell out of the way so that people who DO have something important to do can proceed with their lives.
2. When committing a crime, those people around you who have their backs turned, or are preoccupied with something else, allowing you to get on with the business at hand.
Ex: “If this asshole would quit playing touch p-p with that cashier I could get the fuck outa here.”
2nd ex: “While that woman was playing touch p-p with her airbags, I drove around her and dipped off the exit ramp.
Acting as if you didn't (or don't know) know what the outcome of your actions, a comment, statement, etc. would be; acting unaware
During a conversation....
Person A: **sarcastic tone** "How was I supposed to know she didn't know her dude was cheating on her. He always bragging that his DM be poppin..."
Person B: "You so petty...You play all day!"
When the bill comes for food or drink, The friend who starts patting himself down searching his jacket and pants for money that he knows isn't there, like a third base coach giving signals to the batter. He's just waiting for the rest of the guys to come up with the bill
As soon as the bill came, Brett was playing 3rd base coach.
To give up the will to try/the will to fight/or possibly stay silent/take the path of least resistance - but mainly to choose for whatever reason to throw in the towel on a situation where progression seems too difficult/daunting - my take on it anyway
Initially Tony could not face the thought of all the pain/work involved in reclaiming his life and mobility after his traffic accident .. So for awhile he could only 'Roll over and Play dead like a wounded animal may do.
